Orienteering 1:19:42 intensity: (8:23 @1) + (44:05 @2) + (18:40 @3) + (5:20 @4) + (3:14 @5) 4.68 mi (17:02 / mi) +24m 16:46 / mi
ahr:133 max:171 weight:180lbs

ROC Meet at Rotary Sunshine - Long Advanced course. The running became more of a struggle as the course went on and the terrain got tougher - long grasses in rough open and some thicker areas of woods, so I slowed significantly. Only 1 real error leg as leaving C5 I couldn't find the mapped trail out of the clearing, so barged through and found where it turned. Then went beyond the next junction but the map didn't seem to line up, so I had to go back and check again.

Running 40:27 intensity: (6 @0) + (2:06 @1) + (14:37 @2) + (9:56 @3) + (11:31 @4) + (2:11 @5) 3.61 mi (11:12 / mi)

Jog / Walk after work before heading over to State Qs in Sodus. I let songs dictate the duration of the jogs again for most of the route.

This was watching the 4x800. Luke split 2:01.09 running third leg in third place. Passed the Penfield kid, but was edged out at the end (but did have a faster split). The opening 2:03 and Ben's 1:58 and Luke had the team in a decent spot, but Sean was sick and coming off the mile.

Earlier Luke ran 51 in the open 400. Needed to beat the Thomas kid to make states, so he went after him, but faded near the end to finish 3rd and not get close to 50.

Very nice season for Luke on limited training after the stress fracture in indoor.

Didn't look good for fitting in a workout today, so I walked over to Rhino's for a single slice of pizza for lunch.

Alternated jogging and walking thru Lincoln Park to the Y and back via the roads. Generally jogged to the end of a song, then walked for a minute - made for a more interesting fartlek day as I did not know exactly how long some of the songs would last (TMBG's Ana Ng has several false finishes - I had forgotten how many, and Rock Lobster is longer than I thought!).

Note
weight:180lbs (rest day)

Nothing today as Nate, Zach, Luke and I got up early to drive to Philly (under 5 hours to Chirstine's house for the first time - 4:51 including the 3-minute stop for gas), visit with Bea, then bring Christine home.
