Pentlands Long run turned short run

Absolutely being blown all over the shot by Ophelia, summited scald law and then realised the flags were up for the army exercises so took a turn back around to find an alternative route. However, just as I began doing skyline route backwards I was hit by an absolute force of wind - to the point it wasn't even worth running. Quad started to get quite noticeable by this point anyway then when descending back down Hill End it actually got a bit sore with taking the impact from descending :/ Don't think its tight - either my quad has been inactive for the past years and the arch support is making it be used again or whatever... will get it checked out. Annoying as this was shaping into a really good week! Cross train or chill tomorrow.

Steady run around B+B. Decent run and legs felt good.

Nikes felt good as well and no tightness in calves again. Some slight tightness in r-quad instead but only being picky when saying that. Not wearing insoles in these shoes as they already have arch support and that seems to be fine atm.

Easy to the Pleasance to see Nixon and then easy 45 around the Meadows with J and Ewan. Wore new nike structure shoes, felt comfy. Hard to tell off one run though but seem okay so far...

Treadmill Thursdays - 50min Progression 4:05 min/k - 3:25 min/k

Very very busy with Uni today, 9-8 and a 90 min gap between lectures so thought i'd just jump on the mill to save the faf. Only starting to find it hard when doing last 5 mins at 3:25 min/k's. Wore insoles and no calf tightness straight after session! Some big blisters instead though ;) Treadmill surface was decent, legs quite liked it.

Hill Run in The Ochills with GG

Nice little route with a mix of some compact trails, trods and some marshy hillsides. Legs felt pretty good and it was nice to run somewhere outside of Ed. Pissed it down for a solid 15mins so got a wee bit chilly but once the cloud shifted over, we were treated to some pretty nice views from the tops!

Good session running in a trio with Jonny and Ali, lost a bit of concentration on 3rd rep and got gapped a little bit at the end of rep but good for the rest of the others. Decent effort. Day off running yesterday seems to have done the legs a world of good.
