Highland Wolf Long

Tired and making some pretty stupid mistakes becuase of it. Don't think my body was ready for this one in some pretty tough terrain, must of fallen over about 10 times. Some good bits... lots to analyse on this one though, loosing a lot of time through bad technique. Going to need some gels for Euromeeting long, could of done with some today.

Not a great night sleep the night before. Not as much coughing today though so definitely on the mend. On Anti B's atm though and there not supposed to be great for endurance sports so could also be a reason why i didn't feel great.

Quite a straight forward middle distance with it being so easy though any minor mistakes were really shown up so can learn a few thing from this, needed really disciplined technique with all the short controls. Needed to trust my compass a bit more on some legs like the more slope ones. Physically not quite on it today, still recovering from being ill so felt like i was going into the red a bit too much at times. Coughing quite a lot when I finished.

Water yeat up on Blaiwth to the edge of Torver common and back with some extra on the roads to make it 90. Nice and easy and taps aff!

Running 1:00:00 [1] 7.0 km (8:34 / km)

Run to Birkrigg to control hang for UVHS O Champs then run back home. Fucking grim - head high bracken in dirty pits was the absolute bane of this session. Had to stomp down every control site to make the features even identifiable on a very out of date map.

Back in the Motherland. Still a bit of cough but feels like it is clearing up now.

Around the lake and back via a busy A590. Easy pace but legs felt like 100kg weights when i got off the bike.

Run to Strupe to do an old onsdagnatt course in one of the local forest with no controls out. Slow but solid technically. Feeling a bit terrain tired and dehydrated towards the end in some quite rough terrain.
