Dalegarth Gallopen.
Felt tired from the start and especially uphill, bit of a slog today so not really racing.Missed number 5 didn't really pick up the small hills so was too far right. Two banana's where I lost time. Thought the mapping around 11 was horrendous,big crags just not mapped. 16 was in a pit, not on the right feature.

Note

Haven't done as many miles I as I have wanted to this week, but I think I more than compensated for it, as all of it was on trail and all were hilly runs.

Hilly/terrain 60.

Met some donkeys blocking my path just coming off Bigland. I then proceeded to clap to make them move. But they came closer to me instead. I calmly stroked one of them and then they moved out of the way. I am the donkey whisperer.

On other notes: massive DOMS in my glutes and a bit in my hammies from yesterday.

My Core is shite. My upper body is shite, my legs are okay. Right time to get it stronger though. 3 times a week until JWOC now, Mon/Wed/Fri.

Getting a few k in with mike. Really hilly loop, straight up the front face of hoad. Felt pretty strong!

Hill session with Mike,Lizzie Adams and Heather.
10 x 1 min jog down recovery.
2 min recovery.
1 x 2min. 30 sec recovery.
2 x 30sec. 30 sec recovery.

Reps were on flan fell, brutal gradient. Starting to feel like I'm improving on the hills :)

Easy run on Birkrigg, basking in the sun.

Loc technical race.
Open fell so not too technical, one 10s miss. Legs felt nice and heavy tonight and hard to get shifting up the hills. Managed to beat mike though which was the main goal. Focused on planning ahead tonight which I did for most legs.

BCR social run. Weather was awesome, running route around gummers how and blakeholme was absolutley beaut.Lush trails,good climbs and awesome views. One of the best runs of the year!
