Orienteering 1:14:00 [3] 11.0 km (6:44 / km) +175m 6:14 / km

Had a mare on two controls= 10mins lost(probs the most this year)
direction was a bit off on one and couldn't pick up any of the reetrants and then ran like headless chickem- good effort will. Got going again threw the mistake to the back of my mind(positive) fucked up 4 stopped way to early then thought I was to far down because the marshes were mapped weirdly. 4 mins lost. Real good effort will. Perfectly fine orienteering after that maybe a minute lost overall after that; bit hard to read detail 8-9.

Mistakes were definitley technique based, maybe not used to running on 1:15000 maps and find it really hard to nail features that were one contour line big with barley any featues on the way there, not really my style of orienteering. Luckily scottish is a lots of nice contour detail which i like.

Pretty dissapointed, Doing some of my best orienteering in training(and on new areas for a change) yet I still fuck up, felt pretty relaxed before the race. Physically I felt sharp.Got beat by everyone I normally beat...

Really got the legs turning over nicely.

Jack planned me a course this time, a lot shorter than I thought but grateful because legs had nothing in them on the hills. happy with technique though, but hesitant on the odd control near control circle.

Good session, maybe felt like I ran slightly within myself in the middle reps on 800 but got going well towards the end and was really gunning it especially the last rep for a photo finish with Jack. Felt like I was running pretty strongly tonight and not dawdling on the recoveries because being knackered from the day before like last week.

Good to have jack back who's running strongly atm!
