Orienteering race (Urban Sprint Relay) 25:10 [5] 4.96 km (5:04 / km) +95m 4:38 / km

UKRL urban relays 4th
Jack off well, came back 8th angus climbed some places in second leg to 4th, I kept us in 4th after a sprint finish.

Par the complete hash up at 1: I couldn't find the right enterance into the right house, went into two of the wrong house grounds and ended up binning 1m 30 It was the standard sprint race I always do, hesistational(big and small)but quite clean, was getting some good control flow and planning ahead well during the middle, routechoice generally good.

Felt as though I've lost a lot of speed over my summer break(dieing a bit towards the end), however I'm not to concerned about that, think I cost the team 3rd as duncan coombs caught me at 1 and I battled it out with him for the rest of the course he just nipped me at the end, he had more speed and I had to end up dogging the finish to beat some AIRE guy. However 4th is good, the 1st tea, got 2nd respectivley! Good Road trip, and a noter to do some more sprint training! Nice bit of light banter throughout

Gym Induction with ANGY D,
Well I found my upper body is weak and needs working on, so let's get working on it. Will be doing strength work on the legs as well, which should give me a bit more power through rough terrain.

Running 45:00 [4] 8.0 km (5:38 / km) +400m 4:30 / km

Including:
Warm up
recovery
reps
cool down

Intervals on the fronts and backside of birkrigg.
Feeling okay and had quite a distance on angus. Reps changing between intensity 4/5, lungbusting stuff; legs only tiring on last interval.

Easy run out with the boys.
Lovely day out and felt good to be back out running, adam and angus got quite pussyish on the hills and had to walk some. actually out for 90 mins stopped and chatted about next season for a bit and had some light banter.

Joined lakes leisure gym on 6 week scheme(gym/swim) gonna get hench! should help improve upper body aswell as lower.

Note

Norway was amazing, love the orienteering culture over there and how big the sport is in Scandinavia. Great intensive banter throughout and was great to get to know the FSK juniors. Missing it already! Got some good motivation for the next season...time to get working on my training plan for the base season!
