Running warm up/down 12:25 [2] 2.1 km (5:55 / km) +50m 5:17 / km

warming up to start and cooling down

Orienteering 51:23 [3] *** 9.3 km (5:32 / km) +250m 4:52 / km

Compass sport cup qualifiers- Askham fell
4th out of 48
BlueMenA trophy
7.3k(straight line)

Orienteering a bit dodgey today, not overall pleased with my performance today. Feeling tired from the weeks training have done a lot, and went out last night so only 6 hours sleep( not very alert). couldn't really find that extra gear- just dawdling around and couldn't seem to move legs any faster.control 1 I was slightly hesistant because i think my compass is broke so my line was a bit shit but managed to get into it quite nicely, 1-5 good.5 I wasn't very direct on my bearing so lost some time. 6 there was loads of depression and didn't concentrate enough of ticking things off so overshooted.7,8,9,10 good (8 took a bad line/ routechoice - used a path in stead of beasting it directly up the hill) 11 (second to last control) made a dreadfull 4 minute mistake! just standing there and I could see the finish, was to far left of my judgement and the bracken and marsh was hiding the control.

So overall a few factors, mainly tiredness lead to stupid mistakes. aerobically I was fine just couldn't get the legs moving, wasn't tired just slow.minus mistakes should of hit 45 min today and with fesher legs knocked off a few minutes (41)...still wouldn't of beaten quentin and tom felbaum though.

Flexibility 10:00 [0]

stretching off my tired legs

Note

so gonna take two days off training because my body needs a rest as shown by today.

orienteering well, after about three exercises I knw all of the controls so tried to make it harder- map memory.

concentrated on bearing for the last two-good bust on two controls I was a bit off, hard when there's a lot under foot + lots of fallen down trees.

good orienteering, nice area, bit scrubby under foot

Orienteering 28:03 [3] 3.72 km (7:32 / km) +80m 6:48 / km

long legs, good considering i haven't been o-ing for 3 weeks but one big mistake 3 mins or so . a lot of snow to power through

Orienteering 35:00 [1]

shadowing some from swjs, he wasn't the best to say the least got to the controls well just didn't run apart from downhills, rather boring

Orienteering 15:27 [3] 2.2 km (7:01 / km) +60m 6:11 / km

control pick with adam, a few minor mistakes but good generally

Orienteering 16:08 [3] 2.11 km (7:39 / km) +70m 6:33 / km

attack point exercise, Good, one small 15 second mistake, legs a bit heavy on this last exercise, but quite fast orienteering really had to push through the snow good effort up the hills aswell. got back into the swings of things, I've missed map reading so much fune than just running, slowed a bit toward the end.

Note

good to see everyone from swjs and welsh squad
