run up gunners how and around forest/ other fells ! perfect conditions- blue sky, sun setting , and a nice breeze to cool us down.
Out with angus adam rob chris and heather! Good run and a reasonable pace! :)

Orienteering race (summer evening event) 34:52 [4] 4.2 km (8:18 / km) +230m 6:31 / km

pretty decent race went off well good runing speed! navigated well. caught Mike on leg 8 left him on leg 10! two of the controls were put in the wrong place as this was confirmed when everyone got back :L one was just put on a random boulder, the other to low down on the marsh. Good area though, mix of fell and woods, came 1st. Buzzing for JIRCS ! lets hope it goes well . not gonna go out too fast, going to gradually build up my speed around the course I think to ensure everything goes well!

Orienteering (Cumbria schools champs) 24:57 [5] 3.7 km (6:45 / km) +70m 6:10 / km

decent start to the race, was running well staying on paths was the best option as running through the undergrowth was very physical and tiring! light green standard of orienteering hit controls well. two minor mistakes- shouldn't of come off the path too early on one of the controls because the heather etc slowed me down ! 2. i aimed off on the second to last control missing it by 10m but soon recovered (only a 10second mistake) I reckon i should of had more breakfast in the morning as i only had time for half a bowl of cereal! I think my running was OK today but i think i need to start going to the gym and doing some strength and conditioning as there was a few time i had two stop for 5 second to catch my breath as i was running through the thick undergrowth felt like i could of knocked off a minute or two if my running was better. Otherwise a good race came 1st by 4 and a half minutes! and CSO champion again . In good form , really would like to continue this through to JIRCs at haverigg! need to decide my race strategy for it!

Orienteering (orienteering) 49:00 [3] 4.3 km (11:24 / km)

Wednesday event in bouth, going pretty average until control 5 or 6 (cant really remember) was trying to go to fast and i couldn't understand what was marked a green, it was the first time i've been lost in a long time lost contact with the map... 15 minute leg!!! :( which should of been about 3 minutes. a good technical area(should of slowed down more!!!) but didn't really like it underfoot until i got out on to the fell! I need t orecognise when i should go out fast and when i need to slow down more.

Running (5 x 100m sprints (relay)) 30:00 [5]

Relay practise for athletics in school, Mr pearson making us doing loads of sprints , felt so rough at the end of it ! 100 m at 100 % with roughly 3-4 minute breaks between them.

Orienteering race (kentmere summer evening E) 39:32 [5] 5.5 km (7:11 / km) +370m 5:23 / km

came 3rd , physical race not to much orienteering to be done got beat by Todd Oates and martin Bagness. so much climb in this race!

Running race (1500m athletics comp) 5:00 [4] 1.5 km (3:20 / km)

Got five minutes dead, dreadfull time, felt really dehydrated and weak before my race.
