Orienteering 1:05:00 [2] 10.0 km (6:30 / km)
slept:7.5 shoes: VJ Panther with dobbs

Warm up and cool down for our first national O race of the year. Fortunately the ectic environement of the race stimulated me enough to get out of my haze I had been in for the last day.
Actually, I don't think I would have made it out of bed if Sandra wouldn't have given me an ultimatum.

Orienteering race 18:00 [5] 5.0 km (3:36 / km)
shoes: VJ Panther with dobbs

Sprint race in Effretikon. Well, my brain is definitely in hibernation! Made a 30sec, a 45 sec, a 10sec and 60sec mistake... all only in ONE race! Well well, not so good!
I ended up 2min31sec behind the winnner, our almost junior Fabian Hertner... on the 19th place. Fabians race was really strong, I am impressed.

Gymnastics and stretching 10:00 [1]

Well, actually I haven't done it yet... but I am about to grab a Calvin and Hobbes book, and stretch me into a great night's sleep... I hope

Bike or Hometrainer 52:00 [1]
slept:9.0

Bike tour in the icy fog.
The whole day I was really tired. I thought I would feel better after training... well, in the training I found no energy in my legs (worth, I felt really untrained), and after the bike tour I was not even able to do my strength work out.
I guess it must be the accumulated stress, lack of sleep of the last days which breaks out.

Strength workout, body we 10:00 [1]

Empty...
no power! So I resigned after 10min.

Gymnastics and stretching 10:00 [1]

At least this I enjoy!

Rollerskiing 57:00 [2]
slept:7.2

Rollerskied to school. It was so cold I got frostbite on my hearlobs! One week ago I was doing intervals at 29 degres Celsius!!

50% off trails, 50% road 1:17:00 [2] 16.0 km (4:49 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Rider

Ran home from school... at noon!! Being able to get an afternoon free made me so relaxed and slugish that I almost didn't make it home.

Thursday Jan 12, 2006 #

25% off road, 75% road 1:07:00 [1] 12.5 km (5:22 / km)
slept:5.5 shoes: New Balance 766

Running home in the evening from school.
Barely made it through the day because I again couldn't sleep. After taking a nap on the floor of the locker room I felt actually quite a bit better.

100% trails and roads intervals 12:00 [5]
shoes: New Balance 766

Intervals
1x 4', 1 x2', 1 x6' or basically all the places on my way home that weren't icy.

Rollerskiing 1:00:00 [2]

Rollerskied to school
It is weird to rollerski on roads with snow. I hope soon there will be enough snow so that I can actually ski to school!

Note
slept:7.5

Goal of the day achieved... I slept wonderfully this night!

Rollerskiing 55:00 [2]

Rollerskied back from school. The fog is deposing so much "snow" flakes in the forest, that I was actually really skiing (gliding, not rolling) on the road, yupee!

Tuesday Jan 10, 2006 #

25% off road, 75% road 1:17:00 [1] 16.0 km (4:49 / km)
slept:4.5 shoes: Nike zoom marathoner

Ran home from school.
I had been enough tired the days before to think I would sleep well. Well, because of jet leg I didn't. So I forced myself to run home, trying to ignore the late hour and my tireness.

Monday Jan 9, 2006 #

Note
slept:5.0

Spend all day running behind all the things I didn't finish before I left for Arizona. In the evening I was handed the Panathlon prize 2006 for my last season. I did a little presentation. Tough thing to do when you are exhausted... but I showed enough pictures and they all laughed...
