3hrs hike with Valentin in Charmey into the Gorge de la Jogne. A superb region, only 1hr driving from home... which I have never really visited!
Hip is doing better, but I could still feel it... another bath in the SPA helped.

Lunch run along the lake. Running at 4:00 and a bit faster felt really nice, so I even did the 7th km fast (around 3:10).

Intervals through the forest. I planed to do my standart 3.5min loop 6 times, but my hip started hurting bad enough that I almost had to walk to get home. So I was only able to do 3x3.5min.

Evening run. Tomorrow I am doing an MRI for my knee, so I tried to provoque the pain while running. I could find a stride which was causing pain. I am curious what the MRI will show.
Sandra on the bike, me running along.
... and my knee is as good as it hasn't been for a very long time. Quite ironic, a few hours before I got an appointment for a MRI.
WC Final. Sprint in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
Ran quite well, a few hesitations and not few not optimal route choices. I finished 12th, 46s behind Dani. With the 0 intervals and sprint trainings I have done in the last weeks, that is not so bad.
Surprinsingly my knee didn't hurt at all.

Morning jog. Went back to the place where I did my big mistake the day before. It felt good to do it, so I could find peace... the mistake followed me every minute since yesterday.

WC race in La Grande-Joux, 15km away from home :-). A dream became true.
The beginning went quite well, I felt like nothing could happen to me. I had everything in control... until #10. A diffuse control I underestimated. In my approach I had a thought jump and I ran just by the control and not realizing I was too far. Because it was so flat and diffuse I lost 2min searching the control. I was so mad!!! Once I found it I just started sprinting the hardest I could to get rid of my frustration. This mistake felt like a game over. In my madness I managed to do a further, really stupid, mistake towards #14, entering a total wrong patch of forest, loosing 1min30.
Too bad, I think a top 5 rank would have been very realistic without those mistakes.
