WC Long distance chasing start in Norway. Started as 35 and came in 17th... not too bad, if I would not think about the fact that I was getting really close to the 9th position before I did a big 2.5min mistake! Rrr, that was annoying, but at least I could see that my legs are in a good shape... just have to be serene to make less mistakes.

What a shame, I orienteered in a way that I didn't believe it was possible to be so bad. In the beggining I was struggling to find the flow, than instead of focusing even more on the technique I tried to run even faster... which led to huge mistakes.
I lost 5 minutes and finished 35th.

Finished 3rd, 37sec behind Dani who won.
I had quite a solid run until 5 minutes before the end of the race where I did a 57 sec mistake! Missed a chance... it would be but actually I am happy to see that my speed was good enough to keep up with the 2 boys.

3x6min interval through the thickest bushes of our forest... under poring rain. Felt really slow on the uphills and my heart rate was in the basement... actually I felt like a slug, but I still fought through and tried my best.

2x10x1min intervals. All uphill on small, mostly steepish trails.
At first my heart rate was in the basement, but the more I did intervals the more my heart rate would come in a normal range and the more I would also get the right "running hard/fast feeling"

I planned to do 3x(1000m-500m), 500m and 200m on the track. But after the 3 first intervals I had to resign. My heart rate was in the basement and the feeling pretty bad. I guess I haven't yet recovered from the trip in Finland.
Times 1000m 3:04 and 3:07. 500m in 1:28.

Jukola. We finished 5th, worst result for quite a while... but still not so bad :-).
Had an ok race. First I thought it was quite good, but in retrospective I have lost too many seconds at different places. I lost 1:38 on Fabian who had the winning leg time.

NOC Relay. I ran the 3rd leg of the 2nd swiss team. It went quite alright, eventhough it could have been better. I finished the race 8th, and 5th would have been possible. I had maybe 3x20sec mistake + longish forking.
It was really fun running against others, just too bad some direct competitors beat me to the finish... but I ended on a good note as I passed Anders Nordberg on the way to the last control.

Model event for the NOC/WC. Mmh, I tried to run full speed for 5-10, but I had troubles to get into the physical racing speed... my technical abilities slowed me down too much. Well, I guess I just have to accept that my head and not my legs are doing the race... that's the name of the game, especially in this tricky terrain here.

O training on a 1:15000 map close to Vartsala. Feeling quite tired today. The terrain was also greener than the last trainings, didn't make it easy on a tired Marc.

Middle distance training in Pöylä. Another amazing terrain... almost boring, every map is so awesome.
