Speed/Track 1:15:00 [4] 7.0 mi (10:43 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenhalin

Track- 15 minutes warmup. Then 8 X .5 miles all between 3:06-3:09. This was in Kansas so times were a bit faster. Felt good but not as fast as I thought I would be. Walked full 3 minutes between and finished with 25 minutes cooldown running. Very hot day.

Long Run 4:00:00 [3] 22.0 mi (10:55 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Cascadias Red

Early morning run on flat/hilly trail - Dowdy Draw and Marshall Mesa. I did everything and wore everything as I plan to do it on race day and all systems are go. I ate a sandwich in addition to the Gus and Shot Blocks and felt fine. I stayed hydrated with at least a bottle an hour. I took 2 S Caps per hour.

While the pace is not fast for 5000 feet elevation, I felt good and didn't want to do too much damage, especially since it was only two days removed from the TM workout.

All systems are go!

Recovery Run 45:00 [3] 4.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Easy recovery run. I was still feeling the prior day's workout and rant this very slowly.

Hill Intervals 1:30:00 [3] 9.8 mi (9:11 / mi)
shoes: Nike frees

TM- 8:50 and 5% incline for 90 minutes. Very hard mentally on the TM. The run itself wasn't awful although I was pretty tired when done, it was just such a grind mentally. I was going to do leg weights after, but I just couldn't bring myself to do them.

Long Run 2:53:00 [3] 19.0 mi (9:06 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Addiction 9

Flat, early morning run. Worked hard to stay hydrated and fueled up with S Caps and Gus. I was feeling the prior day's run more than I expected and just wasn't able to hit the pace you wanted. This pace is about 9:06 minutes per mile. I wasn't too far off. Mentally I struggled quite a bit too, because I miss being out on the trails, but this course was on a paved trail because it was flat.

Weights 1:00:00 [3]

Leg weights and abs.
