Strensall with Barrie and Josh

Jogged around some of the course, right leg still not feeling good. Frustrating cause i have no idea what it is and how to get rid of it. Anyway, the orienteering wasn't very good, didn't concentrate at all and i found it really tricky!

Went sprint training in York centre. First we did two loops in the museum gardens, good fun and that's a really good little sprint area. After that we did a longer course round York centre, I only tried to do the first 11 controls but had this weird pain in my right ankle/calf/shin. (got it after the sprint last saturday as well) Jogged round 9 more controls and then met up with the others.

Mostly open area with deep heather, awful! Such hard work to run in.. Nothing like the heather at home hah! Made one big mistake to no. 12 where I just ran and didn't notice I was running on the wrong path, must've been tired. Quite a few smaller mistakes as well so not a very good race but glad I didn't have to run the light green...

Long run. Was soo achy, felt so slow, couldn't move my legs properly and didn't enjoy it very much at all. Poor Josh for having to put up with my moaning for an hour and a half hah.

Started only 11 sec before Helena so she caught me up and we ran together for a few controls until I made a mistake but relocated pretty fast and she lost me. The orienteering felt a bit sloppy, made a lot of small mistakes but running felt really good. And I beat my sis! (y)
