A few mistakes but overall an alright race. Felt fine despite the lack of sleep and recovery.

36th place

Started off by orienteering to the wrong control, after that mistake I ran better. Only a few controls from the end I noticed I was pulling away on the path and ended up taking a different route. Didn’t fully stick to my plan and missed the control a bit. Rushing out of the control I started running on the wrong path and had to turn back, not far enough to the finish to catch the group back up which was annoying..
So exciting to see the girls running so well though! Really happy with the result!

Went out 17th in a group in the chasing start. It went well, didn’t orienteerer too much myself. Very small gaps so caught a couple and was also caught, ended up in 16th in total.

Went for a nice steady run from the hotel, found a real nice little forest with a 5 k loop

Same area as yesterday. Got a bad start and for the first three controls I was just a bit scrappy. Then it went better for a bit until I made a big mistake just before the spectator control.

Leg is feeling better after the physio so I went for a run to test it out. Felt pretty good, a bit of pain going downhill but definitely improved! Very tired and slow though, felt like I haven’t trained for months, but it’s probably mostly in my head

Throat feeling better but not tip top, wanted to go for a little run though! Steady with my dad around the forest loop at the summerhouse. Quad sore but ran 3 k longer than planned and it felt good to get out finally. Swollen and sore after but throat feels fine
