Note
(rest day)

Various jogging around and putting out controls , got them all out 5 mins late , and turned up to about 25 people waiting to start , Oops :/ intresting looking at peoples routechoice , a suprising ammount of people , missed what I thought was the "optimum" routechoice to #6 on the blue and #4 on the green , having ran both , I believed that going back through the start , and weaving your way through the roads , and akin the dual carriageway was about 30 secs quicker due to , no climb , a lot less gates , etc etc , think I annoyed people by putting in such a long routechoice leg , 8-9 on blue and 6-7 on green , north route definetly quicker. Not to sure what people thought of the courses , it was pretty hot , and long so rather them running than me .

My foot I think could be plantar , as it aches more when I don't do anything , aim to clear it and maybe go on a few runs this week ( easy runs ) , not wanting to sit out of the Scottish champs ...

Cycling (Into college) 25:13 [2] 11.6 km (2:10 / km)

Decided to go into college to study today as it was a really nice day and I didn't want to spend it on my own , got a new PB aswell , and there was quite a bit of hanging around at lights too , wasn't that fun on the hills as my gears are broken :/
3 PM

Cycling (Home from college) 27:51 [2] 11.5 km (2:25 / km)

Easy cycle home , really nice in the heat :-)
6 PM

Orienteering race (urban race #6 st george ) 40:29 [4] 8.47 km (4:47 / km) +180m 4:19 / km
ahr:165 max:182 shoes: Inov8 Terrafly 303

urban race #6 at st geogre planned by paul

wasnt sure wether running was the best idea , but it was such a nice day and i told my self , if my heel starts hurting then i stop. started well, reasonble speed , spiking most of them , think i took the bad route on the king of the mountain leg , going through troopers hill , which was really steep and had lots of steps , then back into the urban , reasonbly smooth , then it got into the little technical almost like a moor , with heather and complex contours and rock features , i slowed down and got them all fine , then tried to keep it smooth to the finish , only real "mistake" was on 24 where i decided to take a diffrent path and ended up clambering through brambles , pleased with how it went :) didnt feel to unfit , nice to get a fast run in , heel felt ok , cant really tell until the next day though :L

first when i finished , 2 mins ahead of geoff , havent seen any other results though

great course , great variation , great routechoice , cheers paul :-)

Study day :/

Note
(rest day)

5 PM

Cycling (Very easy cycle ) 2:00:48 [1] 37.2 km (3:15 / km)

Very easy conversation cycle with James and Alex , round all the country roads , winterbourne to chipping sodbury direction , my right gear cable has seemed to shear off , so now I'm stuck in bottom gear all the time :/ I suppose over time it should help me build up more leg strength :-)

Cycling (into college) 25:55 [2] 11.6 km (2:14 / km)

into college , traffic was light , lucky with the lights , NEW PB sub 26 , maybe if i didnt wear skinny jeans and pushed it one day i could get that amazing sub 25 ?
4 PM

Cycling (home from college) 28:56 [2] 11.6 km (2:30 / km)

pretty bog standard , such nice weather though :------)
6 PM

Running long (team Monday Clifton) 1:11:55 [3] 13.31 km (5:24 / km) +270m 4:54 / km
ahr:150 max:176 shoes: Inov8 Terrafly 303

team Monday from keiths in Clifton , with mark , Keith and a new french guy called Nicholas ( he will probably be at frenchay on Sunday ) , convinced everyone not to do the same old loop round gracies wood , so we went into Leigh woods , down the valley , along the river for 3k and then back up into the woods , and just some looping around various paths , heel felt fine , could feel it a tiny bit towards the end but nothing major , pace seemed to drop off a lot towards the end , but it was a really nice evening for it :-)

8 PM

Running (easy/recovery) 48:24 [2] 8.16 km (5:56 / km) +106m 5:34 / km
ahr:150 max:169 shoes: Inov8 Terrafly 303

marks car broke down just outside cabot circus in the center , none of my parents were around at home to pick me up , so i decided to run back as it wasnt a million miles away , from cabot circus , through st pauls , along concorde way cycle track , up the hill onto purdown , along the ridge , dropped back down into the frome valley and along through oldbury court home , tried to keep the pace slow as to not aggravate my heel , could feel it a bit in oldbury court , running over 21k probably wasnt the best for it , but it feels pretty good now considering so hopefully its nothing to worry about :-)
