new map Bristol university , really not what i was expecting , it was a really brilliant race , and i dare say the most technical urban i have done before , some bits of the race like around #16 i found it easier to understand the barbican , started ok , a few short sprint legs , then into some student accomidation block which was pretty fiddly , caught tim at 5 , was slow but safe round 6 and 7 , which was really complicated , then cruised round the running legs , aimed to not let tim overtake me , and i succeeded , overshot 9 slightly , then it got back into the hard stuff , slowed down a lot for 13 and 14 , and 15 , then dropped a minute on 16 because it was really complicated , got a bit confused by the line cutting which led to me running into a dead end path , then i just stopped for 15 secs to try and work out how to get to it , then it went into Bristol grammar school which had quite a few fiddly walls , then down to the memorial buildings , think i took the best route to 23 , 24 was fiddly , then lost another 1 min on 25 where i didn't realise there was a gate , and it turned out it was open but closed at the other end , and i was stood in a primary school confused for 30 seconds , missed the best route to 26 , and i ran on the road , then ok to the finish.

a really good event put on and mapped by Duncan at last minute , one of if not the best sprint map i have run on , i will certainly be using this area for training , ............ of course however not half as good as frenchay will be ;-)
