Orienteering 30:00 [1] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)
(rest day) shoes: Adidas Road

Checking out Hidden Valley for its new sprint map. Very cool area with tons of potential for sprint races. It was recently part of a creek restoration project, so the old map is surprisingly different - more meandering creek, little plateaus beside the creek, built up banks and new paths, etc.

Orienteering 2:20:00 [4] 18.6 km (7:32 / km) +610m 6:28 / km

US Long Champs. Today was a lot of fun. Probably the most fun race in a long time. I liked how the long race let you settle in and cruise through without the rushed feeling of shorter courses. Things started sloppy, but pretty much perfect after 3. Great weekend.

Run 15:00 [1] 3.0 km (5:00 / km)

Run 40:00 [1] 9.0 km (4:27 / km)

Orienteering 40:00 [4] 5.09 km (7:52 / km)

US Short Champs. Generally, a very good run. Flowed well and was smooth until I just walked right by 9 in the rocks. Frustrating mistake and tough to relocate in there. Never felt like I 'got going' since the terrain didn't really let you open up and run hard for long. Otherwise happy with my run even though not the greatest result. Solid run by Wil today.

shoes: Puma Trail

Run 25:08 [5] 6.0 km (4:11 / km)
shoes: Puma Trail

1st Escarpment Rally of the season. PBs all around! Hard training has paid off for Sudden and I as we both took a good chuck off our old PBs.

I wasn't too optimistic going into this after a hard ride yesterday and the beginning of a cold. But, I felt pretty good and pushed hard. 25:08 (14:52, 10:16). Walked almost the entire Lowry, but power hiked it and was fairly fresh at the top. Practiced my finish line collapse at the end too...good thing I was wearing my jeans!

Solid group out tonight, including Stryder's debut and some crazy euro lookin dude.
TNT: 2/3/2/3/2/3/2/3/2/1,1 off bw. Felt pretty ordinary and a bit flat today, especially mentally. Not a ton of sleep on the weekend. Still, felt good to push hard. It's almost done...

Run 42:00 [1] 8.0 km (5:15 / km)
shoes: Puma Trail
