suburban woods adventure. took a major tumble at the 7 mile mark - ouchie! but didn't get hurt too bad, just skinned the crap out of my shin and gouged my knee, plus some scratches on my hand. a beautiful day to be out in the woods. i think i'll snack the rest of the day away. :)

Walk 45:54 [3] 3.0 mi (15:18 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Glycerin

It was a weird night last night, the lockbox outside my house got broken into, and my key stolen. (I have it there for the dogwalker.) The dogwalker remembers that she put it back and secured the premises.

So, called the campus police (I live on a college property) and then the town police came too. Nothing taken in my house, but had to report it. And then of course, I had to change the locks. So I got to bed pretty late and was a little riled up - I mean, I live in a really safe town and this was nothing! But it made me realize how much I take my safety for granted. I am so grateful that I feel safe most of the time, and live in a place where people come to your aid quickly when you need it.

Yoga (Vinyasa) 50:00 [3]

Note

I'm always trying to find the right balance of types of exercise for my current physical condition.

My back has been pretty good lately, nothing to complain about since December. My main cardio has been run/walk on streets - never running more than 3 miles in a row but including longer hikes and run/walks where I am at times going faster. In the winter I did do treadmill a bit, but again never more than 3 miles in a row. And finally, the yoga. This is the first time in my life I have consistently gone to yoga class, and I'm really feeling the benefits. (Always do my own type of yoga, but being in class you learn so much and go much longer than you do at home.) And now of course the O season has started, and before I go all crazy and get too excited I want to remind myself of what has been working for me, and to stick with it.

I think this could be a good recipe:

Run/walks - 2x week
Yoga - 2x week class, 1x week at home (or more?)
O - 1x week

Maybe this, and not doing anything crazy with my life for a little while, will be the recipe for success. :)
