Note

Taking stock of the old body: legs, thrashed, but topical only. Back seems better today, and I'm thinking it is a muscle pull from muscles constricting in the cold and then reacting to the fall. I will continue my naproxen, heating pad, and gentle walking and stretching and keep my fingers crossed. The nice dainty scratch on my upper lip will be a badge of (dis)honor reminding me how stupid I am every time I look in the mirror.

Back Stretches 10:00 [3]

Walk (streets) 25:00 [3] 1.6 mi (15:37 / mi)

Orienteering 2:06:05 [4] 5.5 km (22:55 / km) +591ft 19:42 / km
shoes: Salomon Speedcross 3 - Blue

Well that was certainly not worth hurting my back for. FU FCW

Major mistakes #2 wtf am i, long bad route choice #3, #7 was my own private hell
Briars across the legs and face
So cold and wet by the end I think I lost it a little
Fell down really hard, but couldn't feel anything
Top it all off with a nice long jog back to the car
Car is not there, brother is worried
Shaking can't get shoes off
Thank god for hughmac4 for driving home, and then hughmac3 for walking my dog.

Back feels pretty bad, but at least I'm finally warm.
I'm mad at myself for 1-not doing Brown, 2-being too stubborn to give up even though I was hurting myself, 3-sucking at orienteering

What did I learn today? I'm searching my mind.
AHA RG so helpful...#7 i was on right track just hadn't gone far enough...think I lapsed into 1:10 thinking there. And #2...was relocating from a wrong platform. My thingies didn't line up perfectly but I am too tired.

"Ran" the whole time, but certainly not fast.

With the Sandies! Wissahickon Meadow Loop. So nice to see y'all today.

Sandy F and I decided we're going to West Point this year. The question is, should I do Brown or Green? I kind of feel like I should run my age category, Green...on the other hand I'm not in great shape right now.

Thoughts, anyone?
