Glad I brought my headlamp towards the end...but that didn't stop me from falling, which I very rarely do. We fall down so much when we're kids, but when we're adults it seems like a much bigger deal (is it because we're farther away from the ground?) Anyway, no injuries thankfully, I pretty much only got dirty. :)

Long day of classes at Longwood today...working with pretty flowers...then a nice run in forest where I felt good...I'd say it was an awesome day that can only be topped off by a delicious dinner!

Crum / Smedley back to Crum - had to leave woods and finish on roads as it was too dark.

Ran into a hunter on the "other side" of the Crum; pleasant exchange about deer culling program; I went back the way I came and crossed over to the side I was supposed to be on.

Ran into Erin Salvucci - was running behind her and her dog for a while - she is pretty fast! Didn't know it was her until she was headed up King Kong. We chatted and she said she might be looking for a trail running partner...could work out.

Saw lots of deer in the dusk.

Note

Have been testing the waters with adding a little caffeine in the form of black tea back into my life. 2 days in a row with one cup in the morning...so far so good although I did notice that this afternoon I felt lower energy than normal, but don't know if it can be attributed it to that. The positive side is the caffeine in the morning has enabled me to get a lot done where I need to focus at my computer for a while.

AND I'm super excited to announce that I will be getting paid to write! (For a small book project, so nothing long term, but it should take us a while.) The woman I was working with (taking photos of her floral designs for her book) wants me to write some sections as well...so now it's OUR book officially.
