Elliptical Machine. then promptly put all the calories right back in with a delicious dinner of salmon with sauteed fennel/olive tapenade and baby romaine salad (no, i did not cook this. we went to our fave restaurant.) hoping the weather will be good enough tomorrow for a XC ski!

holding steady at this weight it seems. so that's 12 lbs lost in 2011 so far. the success with the weight loss really started with h4's advice about calories in/calories out - here on attackpoint. eating more protein, less carb, and lotsa fiber. i've also been using a calorie tracking site -"my plate" on livestrong.com (free.) you enter in what you eat and your fitness, and it calculates everything based on your goals. and it measures bmi and has cool graphs and charts that are fun to analyze. but i recommend it even if you're not trying to lose weight just to get an idea of your nutritional requirements and if you're meeting them. also it's made me aware of how much sodium there is in most things and now i try to avoid it (in soups especially.)

before you start worrying--i am 5'4" and have a small frame. i've done the web calculations for my ideal weight, and it ranges from 114-127. i think 125 sounds like a decent end goal but i'm going to slow down this process and just go with what feels good for a while.

i fit into my favorite old jeans!

Ug, the gym was SO crowded. but it felt good anyway and listening to some new tunes (gillian welch--revelator) helped.

With Larry who knew we were on an exercise mission. Just couldn't turn around and go to the gym after I got home from work, leaving him home alone again. Sir Larry. Walk culminated in a rather scary fall on our icy driveway and some pathetic baby tears at the wind being knocked out of me. No injuries, thankfully!!!! READY for winter to be over in a BIG WAY. good news, B is coming home this wednesday instead of weeks from now! (well it's good news for me, anyway.)
