so, interesting. i thought increasing the jogging paces incrementally would decrease the min/mile, but apparently i just slowed down the jogging speed incrementally for the most part! there were particularly muddy slippery parts of this route, though - that was probably more the issue.

hike at pennypack park between classes in hatboro. love the small path through tall fields of some overgrown crop where i saw deer, horse, dog, and human prints, all frozen in the muddy earth. sunny and cold, and just what i needed - getting out of the city. not exactly a workout for the body, but a respite for the mind and body all the same. better than sitting on my butt in dunkin donuts between classes!

just the absolute minimum, merged right into gift wrapping. life seems so jampacked right now. but i did attain the longest handstand i've ever managed (prob about 25 seconds.) rocking back on forth on the fulcrums of my hands, feeling the balance and feeling strong.

We took Lucy to the Navy Yard field where she met a dog we were hoping would be a new girlfriend, a laid back pit named Louise. Ah well, they played a little and then Lucy got aggressive. We had to pull them apart. I don't want a dog like this!!! I guess it will take some work and I hope it's not too late to socialize her with other dogs.

Then I ran home. This really felt terrible. I kept struggling with all my winter stuff: hat, gloves, neck scarf. Nothing felt right. The cold felt so bad to breathe in. But I got it done, and I'm back up on AP with the ability to upload my routes. Woo hoo!

to the del river and back. fastest i've run in a while (totally flat, though.) didn't exactly feel good...but sure feels good to have done it...i think.
