I'm loving the Gentle Flow yoga class. Today it was just me and one other person: Brandon, for his first ever yoga experience. Why am I so good at the bird poses: Eagle, Pigeon, Crow?

Got a massage afterwards - Sayonara, Stress!

Wishing it were just a LITTLE warmer out for hiking purposes...I don't wanna be cold anymore!

Yoga Class at the Wellness Center again. I didn't like this instructor as much, but it was still good. She assumed we knew all the crazy yoga pose names, and I was a bit at a loss. Then I got a 15 minute massage afterwards...my neck and shoulders are really sore from stress at work. Think I'll make this combo a regular habit. Yay Saturday Spring Supermoon!

At 4pm, the Boss comes into my office and whispers "it's St Patricks Day. Let's all sneak away and drink beer." Can't really say no to that, can you? So we left early and I had one beer, excited to be able to catch a little more of the light and the beautiful weather in Horn Pond Woods - which was crazy busy with people! (Except the way-off trails, which we used. Larry and I that is.)

B is down in Florida and went fishing today, catching Sea Trout, Mackerel, and Ladyfish--and seeing Dolphin, Shark, and Manatee! 3 Sea Trout were keepers and they ate them for dinner. I've never eaten one of those before...I'm having frozen Cod for dinner.

Tried a Yoga class at the nearby Wellness Center. It was AWESOME! i will definitely go back! some things were really hard and others not too bad.

note: spent most of the day in a brain fog that was much appreciated after a long week of thinking and worrying too much. i like this yoga thing!

Elliptical Machine. huge discovery tonight when my ipod ran out of juice: i can get pandora radio on my phone and therefore in my headphones and even car should i choose. yay! despite the good tunes, i felt really sluggish--possibly because of bad night's sleep. but ya gotta slog on, eh?

looking forward to melting into the couch with a nice plate of stir fry surprise, my latest go-to dish: lentils, brown rice, and whatever fresh veggies i have in the fridge like snow peas, zucchini, etc. then i add a dollop of greek yogurt and spice it up with some hot sauce. as you can see, food is very important to me :)

Elliptical Machine. then promptly put all the calories right back in with a delicious dinner of salmon with sauteed fennel/olive tapenade and baby romaine salad (no, i did not cook this. we went to our fave restaurant.) hoping the weather will be good enough tomorrow for a XC ski!

holding steady at this weight it seems. so that's 12 lbs lost in 2011 so far. the success with the weight loss really started with h4's advice about calories in/calories out - here on attackpoint. eating more protein, less carb, and lotsa fiber. i've also been using a calorie tracking site -"my plate" on livestrong.com (free.) you enter in what you eat and your fitness, and it calculates everything based on your goals. and it measures bmi and has cool graphs and charts that are fun to analyze. but i recommend it even if you're not trying to lose weight just to get an idea of your nutritional requirements and if you're meeting them. also it's made me aware of how much sodium there is in most things and now i try to avoid it (in soups especially.)

before you start worrying--i am 5'4" and have a small frame. i've done the web calculations for my ideal weight, and it ranges from 114-127. i think 125 sounds like a decent end goal but i'm going to slow down this process and just go with what feels good for a while.

i fit into my favorite old jeans!
