West Point Long Green - Just too hard for me. Gave up after being unable to find #9 in the million cliffs and ridges (and being unable to identify the vegetation corridor, which was my route plan.) In general, I had trouble connecting the map with the drama of what I was seeing. But I certainly was able to identify the big wriggling black snake which made me yelp! :)

Happy for hughmac3 coming in first, and still a great weekend. Wonderful to meet up wtih furlong47 on our walk back in and commiserate - I hope your back/hip/leg is feeling better soon!!

(PS do you know how my day started? hughmac3 telling me he looked at my course length/climb and thought I should not compete today, that it would be too hard for me. He was definitely right! But when do I ever listen to him??)

West Point Green Middle
Plan was to just walk and keep contact with the map. Mostly did that. Had a few mistakes, #7 I should have gone up and over not around on the trail. Was on the right bearing for #8 but just didn't go far enough. The run in was super long and then the walk back from the finish was another 30ish minutes--and this is where I started feeling really terrible, like I might pass out or I was in shock or something. After some electrolytes and help from McCormick and my Pops, started to feel better. Rested and didn't decide to do the Sprint until 10 minutes before....

West Point Green Sprint
Walked this, my first ever Sprint. Feeling a bit iffy, but managed to finish with only a few minor issues, and just no gas in the tank. I wonder what happened to my body today. Wondering about tomorrow....tummy feeling weird now. Happy to be resting.

Tried a studio near Silver Springs after a nice long hike in Rock Creek Park with Lucy. Can't believe how beautiful the woods were! Lots of deep reentrants, runnable woods, creeks, and then a big creek/river with white waters rushing. The yoga was only so-so but glad I got a little something in. (Unbelievably high drop in rate of $25!) Now back at our super crappy motel room working and having a tuna sandwich in bed. Only 4 hours sleep last night...zzzz

Had an interview at a very nice assisted living facility today- Pauls Run. They are even coming to observe one of our classes at another facility before hiring us - love the effort going into their yoga program. Fingers crossed we get this location / they have an actual budget!!

Continuing the breathing exercises, just not logging them anymore here. They've been really helpful so far.

3 classes today. I never log the yoga I'm doing during class, as I don't really think it counts, but it is way more active than say, sitting at a desk. I'm modeling all the poses for the old people, so I'm getting some nice stretches, and then in the vinyasa class I model many of the poses since we have a lot of beginners, quite a bit more vigorous. Monday is my biggest yoga teaching day, and it's a good way to recover from whatever the weekend held.
