Orienteering race 1:08:13 [4] 6.3 km (10:50 / km) +260m 8:59 / km

Cumbrian Galoppen - Ling Fell & Wythop.
Blue course charge around the marshlands and then the fell. Small miss at #9. Very humid day and felt drained on second half having seen Joe twins (Sunley & Hudd) come past at speed. No power up hills. Right achilles beginning to twang through last few controls.

Birkrigg x-roads, Bardsea, beach, Baycliff, Sunbrick Lane, Birkrigg trig.
Humid day - sunbrick lane now full of head high cow parsley, nettles and brambles. Maybe last time on this loop for a while.

Loop of Coniston via Brantwood, Coniston, Torver. New tarmac by Torver garage is awesome.

Kirkby Moor loop. Warm day although breezy so just in shorts - moor drying out. Included heather bashing loop. Trying to keep good stride & higher knees.
Curlew buzzed me on Shooting House Hill.
