Training Log Archive: RichT

Another long day - up early and drove via Penrith, Pooley Bridge & Howtown to Martindale. Arrived at 8am in time to see first pair through valley crossing disturb a herd of 40+ red deer.
Adults jumped fences and away but fawns tried to head butt their way through without success. For an hour the hinds were back and forth trying to help the fawns.
After 3.5 hours drove back around to Finish & helped for rest of day. Away around 5pm.

Helping with SLMM. 3 hours on Start and packing up. 3 hours on Finish welcoming them off the hill. Driving and faffing in between.
Eventually drove back from Overnight camp to Assembly with a pair who were retiring around 4pm - long day.

2br; 10cr + 10cr(pb) + 10cr + 10cr(pb) + 10cr ; 2br - 1350m. Pool quiet.
By accident I started off without the pull bouy so thought I ought to stick with varied session.

Standard loop around Birkrigg & Sea Wood between the showers.

Still not feeling great - decided to get on the bike.
Out to Bardsea, then up over Birkrigg and usual loop out to Gleaston, Dendron & return.

Bad, bad nights sleep - awake from 4am. Feeling quite sick.
Dave Jackson found plenty of sore tendons & soleus sheath in left calf.
Decided to take a rest day.

Croftlands, Birkrigg, Scales, Gleaston, Dendron, Dalton. Slight detour nearing Birkrigg Park. Chilly but managed to beat the rain front back home.

Loop around island south of Fredrikstad with Liz & Martin.
