Run 58:30 [4]

Kirkby Moor - standard loop starting with Out Park, across to Windmills, around back of Gunson Height and finish with Shooting House Hill. Windy overcast day and out in winter gear, but felt surprisingly strong. Given time includes a pee stop happy with that. Hope thigh injury doesn't react too badly - felt okish immediately after.

Orienteering 1:15:00 [2]

Early afternoon in torrential rain with Langdale Primary at Cylinders Wood. Then walk around High Close YHA scoping out next week. Then turned up early for BattleAxe #1 at Esthwaite Intake - found Bilbo having given all of the maps to Malcolm & Liz, and put some kites out from memory.

I went out to help put some more controls out, then had a plod around most of the others. Continued to rain throughout the afternoon, so cold and wet and slow. Even managed a parallel error :-).

Run 47:00 [3]
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw 300

Nearly all day in Rothay Park with Ambleside Primary & associated others for schools event. Decided to stop on the drive home on side of Blawith Common south of Coniston.

Trundled up path to Beacon Tarn, looped around far side and back around to climb Blawith Knott. Reached top in 32mins. More direct descent back to car in 15mins. Managed to jog all the way to the top - cloudy evening. Pleased with the effort.
