Peter Palmers last night - pick up Will n Gus from a party in Askham gone midnight and drive fitfully to Keswick. Slept from 2am to 4am, so had a snooze in the chair when I reached home 1pm Sunday. Managed some core but very rainy day so couldn't raise the enthusiasm to go outside.

shoes: Saucony Grizzly Approach

Loop aroud to Gill Banks, Flan Fell & the Hoad woodlands and back through Ford Park. It had been raining hard most of the day but managed to get out in a break - first run in long bottoms since the spring.
Felt comfortable on a stride, although chest very tight.

With Jo Cleary - out from Marton up Havelock Hill to windmills. Huge effort at the start to run up the steep climb - slightly easier on the undulations but a good stride throughout. Lungs wheezing.

Out with Angus on standard Coniston loop, Old Hall Farm, to Lowick, up west side and back east side. I took a hellofa beasting but amazed by the time only 3months after the operation. Angus went for it down the east side and had a 23minute split, compared to my 32mins - and then he took in Gawthwaite on the way back whilst I took my standard short cut - that boy is an animal on a bike.

KirkbyMoor - Cloud cleared as I arrived to leave me running in a warm sunny day.
Out over Out Park, across back of Gunson Height, up to top of Shooting House Hill and back via shooting pond. Left leg still struggling on the climbs but managed a knee lifting jog around the whole route.
