Out over Hill Fort to Urswick, back over Birkrigg and green lane. Had been wet but just a few spots of rain at times - cold - wearing comp. socks and winter leggings. Legs felt ok after yesterdays long walk.

Walk from New Dungeon Gill with Lyns - Pavey Ark, Harrison Stickle, PikeOfStickle, Martcrag Moor, Angle Tarn, Ore Gap, Bowfell, The Band, Stool End Farm & return. Long stops on Pavey Ark, Martcrag Moor and short stop at Angle Tarn. Out for 7hours elapsed probably 5hours walking.

ISW came around - "fresh" back from completing his Iron Man so I was a little nervous. 8 mins in as he was beasting me up the first climb towards Pennington his chain snapped! What a shame . . .
Completed loop through Loppergarth, Marton, Lindal, Dalton, Dendron, Leece, coast road, Baycliff, Bardsea and home.

Orienteering race 54:14 [4]

WAROC Battleaxe #4 - Brathay. 16 controls to collect and then 4 to find on a line.
Had a good route through first 16 with one miss which I revisited 3 controls later on loop. Line was exellent idea and helped me move up the results as many people missed 1 or 2 including Jon Duncan ! ! ! and Will :o) and Angus :o).

Cooler day now back North.
Over Birkrigg, Scales, Gleaston, Dendron, back of Urswick and home.
Seemed to be going quite hard.

Met up with Grace, Daisy, Florrie, Ben & then Will turned up and dragged Angus out. Warm evening.
Jogged up to school fields and warmed up around a figures of eight. Then ran 3 loops with looking at running style, elbows in, punching forward, knees up running tall. Effort across rugby pitch, diagonally downhill and uphill beside tennis courts.
Then ran 800m o-style loops. Sorted times and tried to handicap everyone for second loop.

Out with Grev on way back home from Mums. Jogging some, walking some. Tried to effort the uphills and left calf a bit tight. Dropped into Batheaston, around back of Vineyards, dropped into toll bridge, the George and then back over railway bridge.
