Loop around Eastern part of Great Tower trying to find yellow pegs wih Angus.
12 PM

Run hills 10:00 [4]

Four hill reps (to Angus' five!) up Gt Tower slope. Jog recovery to bottom.

Run warm up/down 5:00 [2]

Jog back to car.
4 PM

Swim 35:00 [3]

10 x br as warm up. 5 x cr+br double length. 12 x br finale.
Legs and joints felt tired for first time in pool in 2012.
Took Florrie down - saw Paul Macca and Ann Plant.

Spent most of day dodging showers working in garden.

Orienteering 1:14:00 [2]

Jog/walk around Bigland looking at new footpaths through Wild Boar section. Then down boundary wall towards Dick Newby tarn to look for a crossing point and then back through Backbarrow allotment and back over Observation Tower. Wet, cold, miserable, low energy. Slipped and fell within 50m of the car to make clothes even muddier. Both knees still sore.

Twice round Haverthwaite field.

Run intervals 25:00 [4]

4 x 4minute intervals with 3minute recovery. Haverthwaite field sodden.

Run warm up/down 5:00 [2]

Jog around field again.

Orienteering 2:10:00 [2]

Meet in Ambleside by river and up onto Loughrigg with Dick Towler to check out map corrections. Frosty and icy on paths on top.

Run 45:00 [2]

To UVHS to met Graham, then Swarthmoor loop with Florrie.
First time this year so not too fast - Graham ran back home.

Back to bigland for some more map updates. Tired after yesterdays race.
Another nice clear cold day - amazing light as sun was setting.
