Approx 3mins recovery to get to bottom of each.
Steep face 3mins, 2m40s, 2min 45s. 1st rep mass start. 2nd & 3rd set off 30secs in front Angus then 20secs to Will.
Softer face 3mins and 2m48s.

Krakeroy Nord - Area Relay champs.
Complicated area preceded by 3 hours torrential rain. Green marshes were mid shin deep. Only one error where I looped around but difficult map to read and I took it slow following Matt Pennellum injury.

Varteig - Middle race.
Clean through first four, then missed short leg to #5 where Q caught me 6mins :-(. Then missed at end of long leg (didn't find change in green vegetation) and next couple of short legs before spiking last 4 kites.

Putten - Thursday cup race.
Ran long loop - didn't find #1 as hung in wrong pit, also missed a couple late on. Very rocky craggy area complete with German trenches and fortifications from WWII.

Nice area easy to navigate. Kids working hard after previous evenings team talk by Quentin.

Prologue on Torsnes.
Didn't find the first one, walked under the second one on crag as it was hung so high and missed third one on cairn that was in fact three small stones under some birch scrub.

Mass Start Chase - Torsnes
Ran out to act as sweeper for younger members. Ended up with Kirsten and Laura helping them through the first 6 controls. Vey testing area full of curved rock ridges which dobs skidded over. Very slow.

Long race near Sarpsborg. Extremely technical terrain.
Bit wobbly on second control but spiked all of the rest. Warm day and dehydrated by end.
Off to Sarpsborg lake for a swim and ice-cream afterwards.

Finished shadowing Lois on a control pick before lunch.

Orienteering 2:00:00 [2]

Line work on Bjorndalen after lunch. Then loop south to swimming lake.
Then loop north to collect half of the kites.

Huge cloudburst as I approached start so sheltered under tree.

Run tempo 14:45 [4] 1.85 mi (7:58 / mi)

Loop via Ropewalk to Glaxo and back along Lonsdale Road to Railway Bridge. Tail end of cloudburst at start, wet again towards end, although I was soaked before I started. Given max heart rate is 220 - 54 = 166 then hr high although I felt controlled trying to protect calves and right foot and could have pushed harder if legs had felt better.

Jog back. HR seemed to settle around 120 - 125. Dropped to 70-75 whilst typing it up.
