Orienteering Meet race 2:18:32 [3] *** 5.5 km (25:11 / km)
spiked:7/11c shoes: Icebug green #5

COC long champs. Using the same map as yesterday. I am really stinking up the place and was last on my course.
First control I could not manage the last 200 meters to the control. 26 min leg.
Ok till long leg on 6 and thus took 39 min, passing by my messed up control from yesterday. These woods are tough for my level of nav. No 7 was 200 meters and I missed it three times and was about to DNF till I caught a glimpse of it 29 min on this one. Pretty much walked jogged the rest in.
My O confidence has dropped to lowest levels Ina long time. Worst day in 20 years.
Sprint tomorrow if my legs have some gas left I hope.

Orienteering Meet race 55:54 [5] *** 3.0 km (18:38 / km)
spiked:9/11c shoes: Icebug green #5

COC middle distance champs.
Well I bombed control no 3 losing 17 minutes on this control. These woods were slow running.
The rest of the course was ok.
They have to use this map tomorrow due to the bear problem.
My O is getting slowly worse.... Camping????

Hiking 2:00:00 [3] 7.0 km (17:09 / km)

Icefield Parkway. Fantastic hike up Parker Ridge. For such a short hike the views were the best ever.

Orienteering Meet race 19:04 [5] *** 1.6 km (11:55 / km)
spiked:12/14c shoes: Icebug green #5

Sprint yech, I could not figure out the first control till I looked at the map later and realized that this square block of green was not a building.
Then at 8 went to nine first and lost lots of time there to get straight. Probably my worst sprint in a long time. Nice weather and fine folks out here, so it's been a great trip so far.
