Well a bit of a mistake to #4 as you had to cross the river and there were 2 bridges to choose. I took the shorter one and could not use the overpass freeway like I wanted. At least there was a trail/ bridge pass it to use.
The rest of the course was quick and fun.
2nd in M-60, so silver medal.

Wolf Lake Trail race. This was 9 miles down the road from me at Bong Rec State Park. No I did not do any bongs there.
Met my goal of race of racing two days in a row.
Nice run and networked with a few people and talked to an old friend who used to work there. Turns out the park director who I got into a bit of trouble with setting a course out there a few years ago was fired. :-)
He retired 2 years ago because he couldn't stand her.
Also last week I turned down 2 coaching offers, one full and one part time at my old school I used to coach, coaching jumpers and turned them both down. I ran into a guy I knew who is trying to put together some trail races and one even at Parkside. He runs a program at a church school that just put in a jump pit. I told him I would volunteer to work with the jumpers there next spring. Close by home and no commitment, works for me.

Park Ridge 5K...cara circuit race and all the top dogs were there.
Felt pretty good through most of the race. Chi-town nephew's in town beat me, but he is like 27 yrs old.
Bad splits as they were 6:30, 7:00 and 7:30
