Orienteering Meet race 1:11:51 [5] *** 5.7 km (12:36 / km) +85m 11:44 / km
spiked:8/12c

Day 2 Us Champs. I just could not get myself together as I spiked the rootstock at No 1, but failed to look tucked behind the rootstock was the control. No 2 I had to reclocate, 3 off to the south 55 meters, 6 too much to the north west and had to waste minutes getting back on track..so that about how it went. So much for constant contact.

Orienteering Meet race 1:24:00 [5] *** 5.8 km (14:29 / km) +85m 13:30 / km
spiked:8/10c

US Champs, happy valley, NY. Not so happy today as this was a swampy, wooded event. Good start to the first control and almost a big error to no. Two which I corrected before it was a game breaker. No. four was killer as it was a diffuse area with no really catching features or attack points. 23 minutes, and then lack of confidence on much of the rest of the course, which I had no problems with. Fun, but tough terrain and it seemed like I was in Finland, because so much marshy ground. Tomorow, should be much better and I am only 4 minutes out of second, but when I left, I was fifth.

Weight Training 10:00 [3]

My hotel had a Cheezy workout room, but it had a slide board where you use your arms to slide your body up. I did 5 sets of 20 and 150 crunches. It became really tough after 10/12
I have officially started ski training.

Running 30:00 [3] 3.0 mi (10:00 / mi)

A run finally after 6 days of extreme constant headaches. I figured it was due to being bite bye ticks in Austria . My Doctor prescribed antibiotic and just now the headaches might be completely gone. So a run to see how bad my condition is and it was ok.

Mt. Biking 2:30:00 [4] 18.0 mi (8:20 / mi)

Pinckney State Recreational trail. With 2 of my buddies from college days we rode the Potawatomi trail. I thought it would not be too tough as compared to Marquette, but it an awesome trail with lots of roots and as tough as Marq. Lots of wooden bridges and many drops of a foot or more. No time for a swim as we has to hustle back north to catch a music act that I was wanting to check out.
