Training Log Archive: Soupbone

Worked today and than after headed down to the lake and it was the most fun I had in the water here in a long, long time. There were 3 ft. rollers coming in on the beach. what a blast. After headed out for pizza on bikes into town.

Marquette, MI Harlow Lake area. Two track trails/roads that were tough, rocky,muddy and sandy. But no falls today. We rode early past an area where we started an O meet some time in late 70's. I guess I should have taken that old O map and checked it out. After we jumped into Lake Superior for a cleaning/swim. Its so nice up here I might just have to spend August months up here swimming, biking and trail running. Perfect temps and lots of landlord stuff to keep me busy.

Marquette, MI...........Mt Biking w/Twohey. I fell 3 times, twice in heavy sand and once on a slippery root. Some different types of trails on this ride. New, old and some roads.

Ride to see Thursday's Beatle Tribute band at the lakefront in Kenosha. Not so good, so I headed home. The beaches actually looked good here, like somebody decided to work them. Water quality rated good, not too many folks in the water though.

Finally did it a century. Windy from the west so it was great at the stop at the most west section. Went from my house to Twin Lakes, to Lyons and than to Rochester, up to Waterford and could npt find tyhe road to Wind Lake I wanted, so we went to our usual area Church Road and headed home. Except for getting sting by a bee below my eyebrow, it was almost a perfect day for a ride.

Hot day and another boring ride with my buddy. All he wants to do is ride the same route. Just a workout, nothing exciting.
