Freak was on leave last Monday, so we moved the track day to Friday this week. More interval work today, with the secondary goal of continuing to work on finding our heart rate zones. 800 warm-up, form drills, and 5x400 at VO2 max pace, which today was 1:54, 1:56, 1:55, 1:55, 1:53 for me. Heart rate stayed right around 176. Felt pretty good, despite not having breakfast and waking up a few times last night, but maybe the nice weather was enough to compensate for that.
Re-ran the workout from last week, since it was a nice day and I was feeling a bit better. 800 warm-up, then 2x1 mile at threshold pace, kept the laps pretty steady around 2:16.
