800 easy warm-up, then 4x800 intervals with ~2 minutes rest/easy in between. Aiming for 4 minutes on each interval, but went out a little fast on the first one- 3:54. Slowed down a little too much for the second- 4:08. Getting tired by the third, and Connie bailed after the first 400 on this one - 4:12. Really tired by the fourth interval, but pushed hard and finished in 4:05. My body is definitely not used to intervals, and 800s are always challenging, but I felt like this was a good start and gives me a benchmark for setting goals for the rest of the season. By the end of summer, I'm planning to be able to do 6-8x800 at 3:30-3:40.
