orienteering race 19:37 [3] 3.66 km (5:21 / km) +1m 5:21 / km
shoes: ASICS GT 1000 #5

Wet, wet, wet

Pretty happy with run - knee a bit sore, but didn't notice after about 10 controls. Early parts of the course were under water, which was ... fun ?

Don't have map, but lost time with a couple of odd things - a crossable uncrossable fence and a bit of bush mapped as run. Didn't lose too much time each time but it blew my good rhythm.

Knee went bad post-race at todays outing (Adrenalin Forest), but after I got off the ropes and walked about a bit, went OK again. Scary.

orienteering race 1:08:18 [3] 8.0 km (8:32 / km) +100m 8:02 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#6 Fluro)

Middle Earth Longish Whakarewarewa
15 minutes down on Greg :(

A bit messy - cautious entry to #2 (couldn't make myself to hack through the grot initially), #3 -ran up wrong gully, using edge of OOB as AP was dumb, #5 - overran gully, #18 - couldn't find control in gully, #20 couldn't find gully.

Injuries: r knee sore from go-get, got corky in left quad from head on collision - had 3 today, all where I went left and they went right.

Bonus injury: failed to brake hard enough on one bend on my final luge run and managed to ride the rail on my hand and left quad.

Super-magnifier was amazing. Need more accuracy attacking in that low visibility vague contour detail.
