Note
(injured)

Short bushwalk & some limping along behind small child on bike.

Day 7 of my radical 1-7 fruit diet, where I get to eat 1 piece of fruit on Monday, 2 on Tuesday etc.

Needless to say, I'm very full, its bed time and I'm about to have to eat 2 frozen raspberries as Sunday's 6 & 7.

Saturday Mar 17, 2012 #

run 6:00 [3] 1.0 km (6:00 / km)
(injured) shoes: Asics Gel-1160

Test jog... my right quad is bloody sore. I suspect there may be some bruising to come.

cycling (commute) 21:00 [3] 8.0 km (2:38 / km) +100m 2:28 / km

Commute to work - beautiful morning, looked as though there may be some sea fog.

cycling 10:00 [3] 4.0 km (2:30 / km)
(injured)

Disaster - managed a head-on collision with a fellow cyclist.
She has a broken scapula (probably), some superficial skin damage, I've just got a few cuts and bruises, a bent wheel and bent front forks. I'm guessing that her helmet may have hit my front wheel.

Very sad.

run 43:55 [3] 7.69 km (5:43 / km) +158m 5:11 / km
shoes: Asics Gel-1160

Run to work in a fairly direct route after school drop-off. Pretty humid.

surfing 1:30:00 [3]
shoes: bare feet

Small waves but catchable, only the light NE wind spoiling things, the water is a great temperature and everyone out there was having a pleasant time.

Tuesday Mar 13, 2012 #

cycling 21:00 [3] 8.0 km (2:38 / km) +80m 2:30 / km

Ride to work. Beautiful morning, 20+ cyclists about.

Note

OK, pre-run note, whilst I remember.
The ongoing highly-scientific, beer, lunch, chocolate and running trial continues.
In recent weeks things have been going pretty well, even on two beers and (on one notable occasion) on a chips-containing lunch.

Today I'm testing whether its the post-prandial giant freddo that is causing the problem. Or maybe I've just acclimatised.

So:
2xCoopers Pale
Pie & mash
Giant Freddo

Less digestive time tonight as I have to get home for a phone conflab thingo.

run 47:00 [3] 7.85 km (5:59 / km) +168m 5:25 / km
shoes: Asics Gel-1160

OK, the freddo may be having an effect. Legs felt tired too, I often notice that if I push a big ger the preceding day on the bike.

Monday Mar 12, 2012 #

cycling (commute) 40:00 intensity: (35:00 @3) + (4:00 @4) + (1:00 @5) 16.0 km (2:30 / km) +150m 2:23 / km

Ride to/from work. Couple of sprints on the way home - decided to bridge a 100m gap to a roadie who had passed me and the MTB guy I was drafting. It all went OK until I was about 5m off his wheel when he caught on and took off. Of course I was then a rubbery heap and got passed by 3, including the aforementioned MTB guy.
