Sydney Sprint series #1.
Still have the tail end of a cold, so was a bit worried about running hard. The lure of Stix in front of me proved too much and I hammered after him quite successfully until missing a control when it was shielded by his body (control flag must have been smaller than IOF regulations !)

After that it was pretty much one mistake after another.

When I got home, I was pretty worried that I was passing a lot of blood in my urine, but it eventually clicked that it was the after-effects of the beetroot salad I had for lunch.

Xmas 5 days, day 1.
Long sprint. Coming down with a cold, but decided to run anyway - stitches out tomorrow, so figure I can get the dressing a bit sweaty.

Managed to miss a control. I had two very close (20,21) followd by a long route-choice leg. I was so busy planning the long leg, I forgot to do the short one. Also managed to mess up the bog control, so crossed the bog 3 times instead of once.

So that was it for orienteering 2011 - a final defeat by O'ing, with the damage self-inflicted.
