10 AM

Mountain Bike 1:10:00 [2] 10.0 mi (7:00 / mi)
shoes: Shimano AM9 MTB SPD

Grizedale North Face MTB trail.
Plan was to do 2 laps while Janet did 1. Unfortunately my back wheel worked loose on the 2nd lap and I had to limp back to the bike shop.

Mountain Bike 1:10:00 [1] 9.0 mi (7:47 / mi)
shoes: Shimano AM9 MTB SPD

There and back from Hawkshead with Janet.
3 PM

Note

Afternoon stroll up Latterbarrow. Nice views. Forest at north end of Claiffe Heights not so nice.
4 miles. 1.5 hours. Now for beers in Hawkshead :)

Saturday Oct 24, 2020 #

Note

Golf. Saturday comp. Quad AM with Andy, Neil and Mick over 15 holes. Team score 62 points.

Note

I got my chat with the Physio this morning. Very useful advice. PF can take a long time to resolve itself. Luckily I have a long time.
Great pamphlet for reference:

4 PM

Road running 40:00 [3] 4.5 mi (8:53 / mi)
shoes: Saucony ISO3

Booth House, Flush Houses, Digley.
Foot a little sore to start but getting better as the run progressed. Obviously just talking to a Physio on the phone is effective :)

Note

Golf. 10 holes match play v Mick. Lost 1 down.
Foot much better than Tuesday.

I thought I had a doctor's appointment this morning but it turns out it was a phone call from a Physio. Unfortunately I turned down the call because I was in the Doctor's waiting room. Doh.
2 PM

Gym 20:00 [2]

Garage circuits.
3 PM

Mountain Bike 40:00 [2] 8.0 mi (5:00 / mi)
shoes: Shimano AM9 MTB SPD

Standard MTB loop until I punctured on Snittlegate. Too big a hole for tubeless gunk to seal so ended up walking home. Not ideal in my cycling shoes.

Trail running 27:00 [3] 3.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Saucony ISO3

Digley. Less painful than Monday. Even my foot which is surprising after golf yesterday.

Question: is it bad etiquette to replace your old boiler on your 25th wedding anniversary? And where is RRR when you need him to answer such questions?

Note
(injured)

Golf with Mick, Andy and Ron.
32 Stableford points (15/17).
Foot really quite bad again. Very painful by the end :(

Monday Oct 19, 2020 #

Trail running 28:00 [3] 3.0 mi (9:20 / mi)
shoes: New Balance 780v3

Digley. It would be nice to run pain free one day.
Apart from sore quads and a painful left foot my right ankle is also gunky.
7 PM

Pilates 1:00:00 [0]
