shoes: VJ Supra

Day 2. Shrone Hill/ Glengarriff.
7.0km 340m.
Good job visibility was ok today. A few smallish misses on the open. One big one in the woods. 7min lead over Colm for tomorrow's chasing start.
L Achilles slightly niggly after yesterday. Took ibuprofen before running. No worse after.

Shamrock O Ringen. Day 1. Cobdubh South.
M50, 4.9km 140m. (Course 3).
Fun in the cloud. I coped (got lucky?). Others didn't: see Martin's routegadget for a good example.

Golf with Andy. Played match play and he won 4 and 3. I had a couple of good spells but a bad one in the middle meant I couldn't compete with his 79 gross.
L Achilles much better than Tuesday. Seems to be settling down well. Ice afterwards. Still hopeful will be OK for Shamrock.

A bit nervous on the left leg, particularly on the plyometrics. Feeling a little weaker but not painful. Ice afterwards.

Golf. Pro's mid week comp. 31 Stableford points (16/15). So so.
Left Achilles sore. Not too bad but bad enough to cause discomfort walking round the golf course. Ice afterwards.

Golf. Rabbits knock-out matchplay comp. Lost on the 18th hole. Should have done better. Achilles less sore than for this morning's round but still problematical. Ice again afterwards.

shoes: New Balance 1080

York city race. A course, 5.7km straight line.
Still not racing on tarmac so cruised round. Still made one big error on #7 to #8 adding a minute or so.
EPOCspookster zoomed round in 39.
Note: left Achilles a bit sore later. This is new: the last time I had Achilles problems it was the right one. Worrying. Not sure if it's the road running to blame (shouldn't be at the speed I was doing) or the knackered left heel cup on my Innovates yesterday? I will rest a few days to let it settle. Ice as well.
