Not feeling as knackered as after JK, but will still need 2 or 3 days to recover.

Very happy with how my calves have behaved over JK/BOC and now feeling very tempted to enter the British Sprints in three weeks. Entry date is next Sunday. I need to do a couple of tempo runs on tarmac this week to test it out.
Calf massage already booked for Thursday pm, so maybe Thursday am is the best time for the test session?

British Relays, Cannop Ponds.
M50 class, 5.6km, 165m.
3rd leg for SYO. Nick and Tim did the business on the first two legs sending me out in 2nd, 1 min down on Roger Thetford of TVOC. I first saw Roger between #1 and #2 and was running with him from #4 to #8, after which I pulled away up the hill to #9. Finished 1.5 min ahead (and also ahead of BOK who mp'd on leg 1) for the victory.
Most happy for Mikey who was part of the 3rd placed Men Open team :-)

British Long Distance Champs. New Beechenhurst.
M50L, 9.7km, 295m.
3rd place behind Clive and Quentin. Very clean run and pushing hard all the way. Happy with 3rd as couldn't see the 2.5 mins I needed to catch the two in front.

Golf. Pro's mid week comp. 32 Stableford points (20/12). Obviously 18 holes is way too much for me: 17 points after 6 and only another 15 thereafter. Frustrating.

SYO 'countryside' score on streets and footpaths around Lodge Moor.
I opted for the 40 min score but was mostly interested in running a few of my old training routes from when I lived in Sheffield (now 10 years ago!). Hallamshire golf course looking as good as ever and almost literally bumped into ShUOC on the path above the crags (sorry guys, I was blinded by the setting sun). 5 mins late back but, most importantly, everything in working order for the weekend.
