Note
(injured) (rest day)

Evening golf. Rabbits knockout. I got knocked out (7 and 5). Couldn't drive to save my life.

9 AM

Mountain Bike 2:00:00 [2] 18.0 mi (6:40 / mi)
(injured)

Bike from Broughton-in-Furness to Esthwaite, virtually all off-road (on my own today). Another great Lakes day and bridleway over Blawith was superb. A bit of pushing to get up to High Parkamoor from Nibthwaite but well worth the fantastic views. A bit of exploring the NE bit of Grizedale to get up to 2 hours. Calf no worse than yesterday.
12 PM

Orienteering 30:00 [3] 2.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
(injured) shoes: Innov8 X-Talon

Joined in some of the YHOA Junior training at Esthwaite Intake. A corridor and a 1.7km control pick. Very steady to look after the calf which was about the same as Friday. Shame Esthwaite is about to be felled :-(

Mountain Bike 2:30:00 [1] 25.0 mi (6:00 / mi)

Bike ride with Janet from Bouth. Road to Grizedale then a loop of the North Face single track. Perfect weather of the kind only to be expected once or twice a year in the Lakes. A bit stop start waiting for Janet but most enjoyable. First time on technical stuff with new bike and pleased with confidence it gave me on the bigger steps up in particular.
Calf still noticably sore. May try another little run tomorrow but not looking good for Scottish or British.

Cycling 30:00 [3] 4.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
(injured)

Bike up to top of Holme Moss (via Yateholme) in order to find soft ground.
Not logging the 9 mins it took to get home after my run...
12 PM

Terrain running 14:00 [3] 1.5 mi (9:20 / mi)
(injured)

Towards Black Hill and back from Holme Moss. Calf sore after 5 mins but no sharp twinges and not getting worse. Still a bit sore this afternoon cutting the grass.

Note
(injured) (rest day)

Enforced rest day waiting in for delivery from B+Q which never came. Grrrrr...
Evening golf. Rabbits Greensomes; lost 2 and 1. Left shoulder (which had op about 10 years ago) really aching now. Golfed out.

7 PM

Mountain Bike 1:02:00 [2] 11.0 mi (5:38 / mi)
(injured)

Was going to have a day off but it was too nice an evening not to go out.
Blast on the bike up to Goodbent Lodge and over to Meltham down top bridleway and back up middle one. Loop of Yateholme to finish.

Note
(injured)

This is becoming a golf log. Oh well.
What a difference a day makes. I played pretty decent today, scoring 40 Stableford points despite a number of 3 putts. I'll have to wait for the competition results, but suspect my handicap will be coming down.
Edit: 4th (winner 41 points). Handicap down to 25.
Left calf feeling fine. Right calf still sore but not worried as this was nothing to do with running.
4 PM

Trail running 9:00 [3] 1.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
(injured) shoes: Innov8 X-Talon

Test jog around the Rec. Left calf not bad: general all-over slight soreness but no sharp twinges.
3 x 10 eccentric heel raises.
