Orienteering race 57:00
ahr:172 max:185 shoes: O shoes

just doing the race more as formality and because i thought i had a chance of winning overall if i won today (confused now i see the league table. could have sworn we were 3 points apart).

anyway, predictable claire and i went on different loops and i ran off on mine. was conscious heather was around for a bit particularly when i kept missing controls but i pulled away when she made quite a big error and i ran a bit harder. navigationally i was ok getting to the circle but not taking enough care getting the control. it felt like i missed every control.

shame to have missed out a 4 control section. noone to blame but myself, just not concentrating enough. most fussed because it was a long drive.

course was well planned, nev did a good job with a rough area. spent most of it bent over double but it was not as bad vegetation wise as i thought and as most people complained at. think i took good routes but also nev planned well. just shame not bigger turnout to support his effort.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [2]
ahr:125 max:130 shoes: Spikes

only just made it due to 2 hour delay on FRB. got to finishing field as leg 1 was finishing. got number and jogged around. no time to think whether knee was ok or not. had stretched lots on friday and definite improvement.

Running race 14:24
ahr:179 max:183 shoes: Spikes

ok race. one girl to chase who started hard but then suddenly slowed down so overtook her easily. then saw nobody until about 300m from the end and the girl was 100m ahead. didn't feel major hard race but certainly noticed that my lungs had taken in a lot of air afterwards! think it was a bit short of 4km.

Running intervals 1:25:00
ahr:141 max:180 shoes: new blue saucony

ran to DVC and then pretty much back home to roseburn path before starting TT. intervals down the roseburn paths between bridges but didnt know how far each one was made it funny. varying levels of effort and knee not liking speedy ones. got a bit down by the end, just run down, i should stop running and relax but i really enjoy it and it feels wrong not being out doing intervals. ran back from leith with heather to come home
