Jog in Rock Creek Park. Legs tired from yesterday - not used to orienteering plus cycling in quantity anymore.

Non-Metro parts of getting out to Gunston Hall for it's premiere as an O venue (not counting all the times we ran in the northern bit of their woods as though they were part of Pohick Bay Regional Park). And then home again.

Orienteering race 1:03:00 [4] 8.04 km (7:50 / km) +200m 6:58 / km

QOC Gunston Hall Blue - quite enjoyed the low relief wooded portion of the map. Too bad there isn't more of it - though there is terrain into which to expand the map to the west across Gunston Road, odds are most or all of it is either steeper or flatter than that section in ways that would make it less of a change from what we're used to.

Totally got suckered by 2.5m contours on the first leg returning to the steep Pohick-like terrain - the slopes on the sides of the reentrant that had to be crossed taking the direct route were in fact as steep as all that.

Saturday morning yoga. Managed to be 5 minutes early today - much more relaxed than coming in just in time and trying to find a place to roll out my mat.

Longest run I've done in I'm not sure how long. Nice sunny day in Rock Creek Park. Leaves not fully out so probably good that I remembered to apply sunscreen before going out.

Cycling to aquatic center and back.

Swimming 22:30 [3]

Mix of strokes again, including 25 yards of butterfly.

It's official - contract signed by both parties, travel arrangements made - I'm going to Ottawa in a little over a week to spend a few months mapping for OOC.

Round trip to Cardozo track

Running 19:00 [5] 5.4 km (3:31 / km)

3 x 1200/400/200 with 100 to 200 meters jogging rest between (plus the time spent waitinfg for everyone to finish a rep before starting the jogging).
