Cycling 57:00 [3]

Round trip to work.

Sunday Jan 20, 2008 #

Orienteering race 1:14:01 [4] 10.0 km (7:24 / km) +215m 6:41 / km

Anza Borrego Day 2 - not clean but stil baffling just how far behind I ended up. Enough to make me wonder if I was subtly ill.

Orienteering race 27:17 [3]

Anza Borrego Maze-O - just about the coolest terrain ever, especially the walk to the start through the slot canyon.

Saturday Jan 19, 2008 #

Orienteering race 1:31:57 [4] 9.0 km (10:13 / km) +330m 8:38 / km

Anza Borrego day 1 - massive error on control 10 and running out of gas late in the course for a very bad result.

Orienteering race 17:59 [5] 2.8 km (6:25 / km)

Anza Borrego Sprint - had a good enough race going for, probably, fourth until I mentally skipped a control and wasted about 2.5 minutes completely failing to figure out what I'd done until Patrick passed through.

Thursday Jan 17, 2008 #

Cycling 33:00 [3]

Cycling to work by way of the aquatic center.

Deep Water Running 21:00 [4]

Short session of fairly intense deep water running - trying to prepare body to run fast this weekend without causing a lot of wear and tear.

Note

Lovely snow falling and, for the second time this season in DC, accumulating. May complicate getting home tonight.

Cycling 35:00 [2]

Cautiously, even though the streets were moslty clear, cycling home.

Wednesday Jan 16, 2008 #

In-line Skating 35:00 [3]

Skated to work as, arguably, part of being nice to my right Achilles tendon.

Cycling 36:00 [3]

Home by way of TPSS and the Avalon Theater - saw OSS 117, a recent French spy film spoof, largely riffing on early Bond films but with a big debt to Get Smart as well.
