Cycling 1:19:00 [2] 14.5 mi (5:27 / mi)

Commute taking in volunteering at PCRM in the evening.

Core exercises 8:00 [4]

Bagged doing anything running-like in favour of getting more sleep so did these instead.

Running 1:43:00 [2] 10.0 mi (10:18 / mi)
shoes: NB856

Put in three hours after work drafting almost all the updates to our UMD map, then gave the new headlamp its maiden outing. Four or five hundred meters on pavement down to Rock Creek Park, then a couple of miles on flat, muddy trails along the east side of the stream, then another couple mostly on grassy fields getting to the DC line. From there, a section on the Western Ridge Trail before heading down to Riley Spring Bridge and crossing over to mostly undisturbed snow a couple of inches deep on the Valley Trail for about another 3.5 miles to the Jusserand Memorial. Then the long climb home heading east through DC. Quite a pleasant outing though dry feet would have improved it.

Cycling 33:00 [3] 6.5 mi (5:05 / mi)

Usual commute in to work. Had neglected (not to imply this is unusual) to check the weather forecast over the weekend.

Cycling 1:25:00 [1] 8.5 mi (10:00 / mi)

Trafficked pavement visible from my office was still clear so I bent my normal rules on cycling on snow anywhere near DC drivers. Though significant portions of this were at intensity 2, traction became much dicier as the evening progressed so I slowed accordingly. Got groceries and a headlight for night trail runs en route.

Core exercises 8:00 [4]

While watching 24.

Running 2:10:00 [2] 18.0 mi (7:13 / mi)
shoes: NB856

Trail run in Rock Creek Park. North and south on the Valley Trail. Mileage is a guess but I figure the shoe mileage tracking is a good idea even with the inputs somewhat approximate. I bought new shoes Saturday afternoon - can't hurt anything but my wallet, might help my knees, which felt sore again after this workout.

Cycling 1:05:00 [2] 12.0 mi (5:25 / mi)

Grocery shopping expedition and off to see the remainder of Peter Kubelka's total output of 7 films.

Core exercises 8:00 [4]
