Trail Run (race) 1:20:52 [4] 13.4 km (6:02 / km)

Almost ideal conditions for racing. Love being out on the trails. Not quite a adventure race but lots of fun just the same. 2 x loops with a couple hills that were beauts. Legs and lungs felt better on the second loop once I settled into a rhythm although my middle toe was really starting to bother me half way through the second loop (badly bruised from the night before) - especially on the downhills and pushing off with my left foot. Finished 5th or 6th overall.

Great to meet T-Rex and Andrew (don't know his AP username).

A nice easy ride to save the legs for tomorrow's race. Although I latched on to a peloton (3 guys on road bikes) and hung with them until the end. Strong headwind from the NE.

A nice crisp morning for a ride. Thought I didn't dress warm enough but eventually got warmed up (although my feet didn't). Tried to take it a bit easier this morning because I want to run along the canal at lunch.

Before heading out, I wasn't really in the mood for it but glad I went. I took it nice and slow (had to force myself cut it back a few times to avoid going too quickly). I have a hard time controlling my speed when I run on the canal. I find with all the walkers / runners, I always want to run faster (need to find slower music for the iPod). I definitely didn't want to do that today.

A great morning for a ride. A bit damp but the temperature was almost perfect. Legs felt fresh despite the tough workout last night.

A strong headwind the whole way. It was a bit of a slog and the legs felt a bit heavy which didn't help.

20 min warm-up, 6 x hills (held the pace pretty consistently throughout), 20 min warm down. It was fun.
