I had to go down to Stafford to see my orthodontist; the bottom wire that has been in place since I got my braces off had popped off on one end, and he had to reattach it. However, when I got there, he said that he could do that or put me in a different retainer for about three months to fix a drifting that was happening on my top and bottom teeth. After having gone through that whole hassle of braces, I definitely want to keep my teeth straight, so I opted for the more intense one. Luckily, it'll just be for 3 months.

On my way home, I stopped at PWF for a short run. It was slow because I could still feel the spinning class from Thursday. That class almost made me puke. And then I stopped at IKEA to begin stocking up for the julebord.

Eight days total, 5 days of 11+ hours of driving, 10 states, 3 kids and 1 Thanksgiving dinner, and I'm finally back home again. A bittersweet trip. It was great to see my children, especially Caitlin and Jill in their new home in Omaha, but sad to leave Annie with Graham. For many reasons, we decided it would be better if she was with Graham and I take our 2 cats back, Shiva and Mr. Bones. The house feels a little empty without her.

I had been dreading the trip back with 2 car-averse cats, but it all worked out fine. They started out in their carriers, but after I let them out the first time to eat and go poop, it was impossible to get them back in, so I just let them stay out. Not the safest for them, but the easiest for me. They were very happy to hang out on the floor, where it was nice and warm.

Today was spent cleaning the house, raking massive amounts of leaves, getting some groceries, and going for a little run. It felt so nice after spending so much time in the car.
